Once again I have to apologize for the lack of updates, but this super tight schedule with midweek rounds and many Copa Libertadores games leaves me no time to write here as I'd like.

While there are still teams like Velez, San Lorenzo and Newell's making a difference when they can have their best team available, the league is as crazy as usual.
1/3 of the tournament is gone, and the only leader is Colon, a team that a month ago everybody left for dead and was looking at building a team to play next season in Nacional B.
A couple of good performances by their very young squad and some very lucky results in others put them at the top of the league. They won't be able to hold this place for long, but their priority is to avoid relegation and that doesn't look as impossible as it was not long ago.

They are followed by Velez, San Lorenzo (their rival this next weekend) and just everybody else within 4-5 points, what means that the title race is as open as always.

The main focus last week was away from a football pitch, inside Boca's locker room to be more precise.
Bad mood within their squad, accusations by Pablo Ledesma (member of the "Juan Roman Riquelme gang" )that someone in the team (specifically goalkeeper Agustin Orion) was talking to the press "off the record" trying to get coach Carlos Bianchi fired, led to a fight between them. And with fight, I mean punches of course !
Everything was forgotten because they won the derby vs Racing, but this is not over and whether they keep hiding or not will depend on what happens in the next few weeks when they play Argentinos Jrs, Quilmes...and specially the Superclasico vs River.

There's SO SO SO much going on that I could go on writing for hours, but instead I invite you to join my paid service that includes full previews, expected lineups and everything you can expect to know about the Argentine league.
The service is oriented to sports bettors, big or small, and you can find more info about it here: http://argentinapreviews.blogspot.com.ar/2014/01/argentina-football-previews-paid.html
