Two weeks since the last update and we still have Newell's on top, San Lorenzo one point behind and flying lately with 4 wins in the last 5 matches and no goals conceded, Arsenal just two behind and they advanced to the Copa Argentina final this week (to be played vs San Lorenzo on October 16) but all that every sports TV show talks about this week is the new edition of the SUPERCLASICO River vs Boca that will be played this Sunday at the Monumental.

It's been quite some time since both teams arrive at their most important game of the tournament with winning records and on a good streak, and what makes this meeting even more interesting is that neither can afford to lose if they want to continue fighting for the championship.
The winner of the SUPERCLASICO will get a morale and motivation boost very needed for the 2nd half of the tournament, and most of the pressure will be on River because they will be playing at a stadium 100% packed with their fans (remember no away fans are allowed since this season in any games in Argentina due to the unfortunate episodes of violence we had lately).

Both coaches, Ramon Diaz and Carlos Bianchi, had been playing a little mystery game but there won't be much surprises in the starting lineups: River will put most of their attacking hopes on Colombian international Teo Gutierrez while Boca will have Fernando Gago and Juan Roman Riquelme to manage the ball and give the hosts a headache with the skills of ex Velez' striker Juan Manuel Martinez.

Round 10 kicks off on Friday night with Argentinos Jrs hosting the uprising Belgrano, and in other important games we'll have the leader Newell's visiting Quilmes and San Lorenzo trying to continue their great run at home vs Tigre.
