Nine rounds of Inicial 2012 are gone and we had probably the craziest one so far as none of the top 3 teams of the league were able to win, but they are still up there.

The only leader and undefeated team, Newell's was only able to draw with the win-less Tigre, while Velez was surprised by Colon who scored 3 goals in 30 minutes to take a difference that the hosts were not able to recover from.

But the weirdest result of the weekend was Boca's failure to beat the very poor San Martin de San Juan despite playing with one more men for more than 50 minutes.
Fans were definitely not happy with this results and the chants claiming for their gone idol Juan Roman Riquelme, mixed with some insults to coach Julio Cesar Falcioni (the man pointed as responsible for Riquelme's departure), were pretty loud when the game finished 1-1.

One of the big winners of the weekend was River, recovering from a couple of defeats to get a 4-0 against the last champion Arsenal, who is now on a 4 consecutive lost games streak.
Coach Matias Almeyda will keep his job at least one more week and they are at temporarily out of the relegation zone.

Racing got a big 4-0 win in the derby vs San Lorenzo with help from a ridiculous penalty and 2 own goals that put coach Ricardo Caruso Lombardi's job on the line.

Independiente's first league win in more than 5 months finally came as they beat another win-less team, Union, who keeps sinking in the Averages table.

Round 9 results :

Quilmes A.C. 1 – Belgrano de Córdoba 2
All Boys 2 - Lanús 1
Godoy Cruz 1 – Estudiantes de La Plata 0
Atlético de Rafaela 5 – Argentinos Juniors 3

Arsenal F.C. 0 - River Plate 4
Tigre 0 – Newell’s Old Boys 0
Vélez Sarsfield 2 – Colón 4
Unión 1 - Independiente 2

Argentina plays this Wednesday a friendly against Brazil that is the return match of the 1-2 defeat two weeks ago.
Again Sabella called players from the local league (that's the idea of this friendlies, Brazil does the same) and you can see the list here:
